D – Rose back to form in time for playoffs

CHICAGO: Derrick Rose of the Chicago bulls went through a successful surgery to fix a meniscus tear in his right knee. Rose will only miss 4 – 6 weeks on the court, which is around the start of the playoffs. Rose has played in 46 games this season averaging 18 points, 5 assists, and 3 rebounds.
The Bulls currently hold the fourth spot in the Eastern conference at 36 – 22.

Paul George Completes First Full Practice

INDIANAPOLIS: The Indiana Pacers star forward Paul George completed his first full practice this season on Thursday (Friday in Manila) after suffering a horrific leg injury in July.
George, who was banned from full court action a few weeks ago, ran plays with his teammates playing on the wing shooting long range and midrange shots, an aspect of his game he was working on during rehab.
There is no timetable on George’s return on the court, but his speedy recovery and determination to be back on the court will be a big factor to when he’ll be sporting his new number 13 jersey.

Cavaliers stars sit-out clash against Indy

INDIANAPOLIS: Co-Cleveland Cavaliers stars LeBron James and Kyrie Irving sit out Friday’s (Saturday in Manila) game against the Indiana Pacers.

LeBron is out with a sore back, while Irving stayed in Cleveland after injuring his left shoulder during their win against the Golden State Warriors.

The Pacers took advantage of the weaker Cavs lineup beating them 93 – 86. JR Smith scored 21 points while Kevin Love added 17 points and 10 rebounds in the loss. Rodney Stuckey’s 19 points led the way for the Pacers. James is expected to play against Houston in their next game, but there is no timetable on Irving’s return.
